Water Treatment

Projected City Growth Requires Water Treatment Plant Expansion

Problem

The City of Cookeville, TN is planning for community growth and development and must ensure its utilities are sized correctly. The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) requires a public water system to address the need for expanding their water treatment design capacity when the system reaches 80% of its design capacity and Cookeville was nearing that limit.

Solution

The plant upgrade increases the capacity from 15MGD to 22.5MGD.
