CTI Engineers, Inc., is an employee-owned civil engineering consulting firm specializing in the planning, development, design, and construction management of municipal and private infrastructure systems.
Our focus is and always has been helping communities build and maintain sustainable water, wastewater and storm water infrastructure to ensure clean, safe and reliable resources for generations to come.
Our History
From the beginning, the 10 founding engineers of CTI wanted to work at a firm focused on engineering and its employees. They were concerned with the complex, corporate structure of large engineering firms and had a vision for a company that operated differently from most consulting practices.
They couldn’t find one, so they built one.
Founded in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1991, CTI started with ten engineers, five support staff and a passion for complex infrastructure problems. Since then, CTI has grown to more than 50 employees across five branch offices. Maintaining the Corporate Headquarters in Chattanooga, CTI also has offices in Nashville and Knoxville, Tennessee, Akron, Ohio and Cartersville, Georgia.
At CTI, our main value is loyalty. We believe our people are the difference and for this reason, our average employee tenure is more than 15 years!

At CTI, when you pass your 90-day orientation period, you become eligible to voluntarily purchase and own shares of exclusive stock and any employee, after reaching 1% ownership and 3 years of tenure, is eligible for election to the Board of Directors.
