Resident Project Representative (Construction Oversight)

Description

CTI is in need of a Resident Project Representative (RPR) to observe water and wastewater utility construction activities in the SE Tennessee and NW Georgia area. The RPR will be responsible for construction observation and documentation for general conformance with the construction contract.

Responsibilities

  • Work with general supervision from the  Project Manager.
  • Maintain accurate daily record of construction site conditions and activities; significant events, issues, or problems; and communications between parties.
  • Photograph construction progress and catalog photos for future reference.
  • Produce required reports on Contractor’s progress, quality, schedule, and budget status.
  • Review Contractor pay requests, including stored materials.
  • Work with the Project Manager to evaluate project schedules and prepare status reports.
  • Attend coordination meetings and regular construction progress meetings with the Owner and the Contractor.
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction.
  • Additional duties may require coordination and supervision of construction materials testing and Special Inspections services.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree or Higher in Engineering or Construction Management. Must have construction oversight or construction supervision experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in municipal water/wastewater infrastructure construction, including water treatment facilities, waterlines, sewers, or pump stations.
  • Previous utility construction inspection experience.
  • Experience and basic proficiency with the MS Office Suite (particularly Word and Excel)
  •  Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Must present work authorization for the United States.
