CTI President & CEO Rick Reed received the Lifetime Engineering Achievement Award from the Ohio Water Environment Association (OWEA) at their annual conference on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.

This award honors an OWEA member who, as an Ohio design engineer, has consistently delivered good basic engineering design of wastewater facilities over a period of 20 or more years. The awardee must by recognized and nominated by his peers as having demonstrated a high level of competence in the design field.

Throughout his 30-year career, Rick has consistently delivered wastewater treatment and collection system designs that exceed client expectations. In addition to his P.E., Rick is also an Ohio EPA Class III Wastewater Operator which enables him to ensure his designs are technically sound, robust and operator friendly. In addition to his consulting experience, Rick served as a member of Ohio EPA's Operator Certification Advisory Council for 10 years as one of registered engineers on the council.

For the past 23 years, Rick has worked with CTI Engineers managing wastewater treatment designs throughout Ohio and has proved to be an invaluable asset to the team. In 2018, Rick was promoted to President and CEO of the firm, becoming the second CEO in company history.

From everyone at CTI, we are so proud to see Rick's hard work and dedication recognized with this prestigious award.
