Gangway for Coca-Cola Stage

Chattanooga Coca-Cola Stage Gangway

SUMMARY

The stage is a floating structure and is only present during the festival; therefore the bridge had to be designed to be easily erected and disassembled. Because the elevation of the river fluctuates, the connection had to also allow for vertical movement. Its half-trough truss style design allows the main trusses to be part of the guardrail. After the festival, the bridge is disconnected and stored on the lower deck of the stage.
