Chickamauga City School Sidewalks

Chickamauga Sidewalks 1

SUMMARY

With the recent completion of 5-foot-wide concrete sidewalk, local residents and tourists no longer have to cut through lawns or walk along the narrow roadway. A total of over 2.8 miles of sidewalks were constructed to provide safe passage to the school campus and surrounding areas. Project Description

In this small historic town, many students live within walking distance of the elementary, middle, and high schools located in the central business district. The school system does not operate school buses, and until recently there were no sidewalks. This led to traffic congestion and potential safety hazards.
